Women Arrested For Stealing 5 Phones From Music Festival

On May 6th, 2023, officers were dispatched in reference to a robbery at the Sunfest music festival. A woman watching the concert realised that her wallet and phone were gone after two women brushed up against her. Here’s what happened when the officers tracked them down. The two women began speaking in Spanish and were very uncooperative. They weren’t willing to reveal their identities, but other witnesses came forward and recognized them. Both of them were very resistant while being placed in cuffs, but the officers were able to find five phones in the shorts of one of the suspects. She continued to cry and plead with the officer even inside the police department. Officers retrieved over $1,800 in cash, debit cards, gift cards, driver's licenses, and other IDs, along with jewelry, from the suspects. Both of them were charged with robbery by sudden snatching and resisting arrest.
