Episode 467: God describes the new birth in Ezekiel Part 2

Hello everyone. In today's Bible study we continue our series on the New Birth through the eyes of the prophets.

The prophets? Yes. Do you mean the Old Testament prophets? Yes. Isn't the New Birth a New Testament doctrine? No, it is not.

You have to remember that the New Testament does not begin until after Jesus is risen from the dead. The OT ends with the death of Christ, while the NT commences with the resurrection of Christ.

In John 3, that conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus concerning the New Birth is part of the Old Testament. That is why Jesus asked Nicodemus why he didn't know about that doctrine. What then was he teaching the people?

God gives a detailed description of the New Birth in two books; Ezekiel and Jeremiah. Do you have the real New Birth according to the scriptures.
