Knowing the Who and Why of Christmas

In the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, it is easy for our minds to become consumed with shopping, planning, traveling, parties and more. In the midst of it all, the who and why of the season can be lost. Here is a way to help keep Jesus in focus...

Beginning the evening of December 1st, read one chapter of the book of Luke in the bible. There are 24 chapters...so by Christmas Eve, you will have read the entire account of the life of Jesus and wake up on Christmas morning knowing the "who and why" of Christmas.

So let us endeavor to put Christ first and seek to really KNOW him this Christmas season...because He is the “who” that came in the flesh to dwell among us... and His “why” is so that He could overcome sin and death for all mankind to redeem us.
