Cops RESCUE Baby From Hot Car, Parent Arrested

On May 11, 2024, a woman noticed a 3-year-old girl trapped in the back of an SUV and called 911. She was profusely sweating and had turned red. Her father had forgotten she was in the car and had gone into a nearby store. Officers responded to the incident immediately. Just after the officers investigated the SUV, the child’s father arrived on the scene. The father told the police that he was shopping for Mother's Day and, because he was trying to remember what he needed to buy, he forgot his daughter was in the backseat and left her. Experts believe that staying inside a closed car for even 15 minutes can be lethal. Officers said that anything could have happened if the woman had not responded quickly, as the child had been trapped inside for 31 minutes. Shortly after, the child’s mother arrived on the scene and was given custody of her. Based on the man’s statement, officers decided to arrest him and take him to jail. The man was charged with child neglect and leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
