Fast on the way up, pause, and slow controlled eccentric on the way back to maximize growth. Also on the second set tilt your feet inwards to stimulate the outer quad muscles. On the third set put your feet in the middle and point them outwards to hit the lower quad better. Rinse and Repeat these sets for reps.
