Sony Buying Elden Ring Parent Company is Worse Than You Thought

Sony is looking to acquire a big name in the Japanese media space. Parent company of FromSoftware, the makers of Dark Souls and Elden Ring, Kadokawa. While this might appear to be strictly motivated to get some exclusive games on their dying console, it's a bigger play than that.

Sony has a tight grasp on the Anime and Manga space. Kadokawa is one of the bigger companies out there making sure they do not have a full monopoly on their hands. An acquisition would very much change that and make Sony the taste makers and shapers in the fastest growing entertainment medium. Also, say goodbye to good FromSoft games if this goes through...
