Ephesians 5:18-21 "A Worshipful Life" 11/3/2024

My thought was to finish Ephesians 5 today; it is only 16 verses long…however, the Holy Spirit had a different plan.
On Wednesday at worship practice, I questioned a song I thought might be too difficult for some to sing.
What followed was a discussion on hymns vs more modern songs.
And which songs people were more apt to sing in church.
Then, I opened my Bible to Ephesians chapter 5 and read about how we are to sing psalms, spiritual songs, and hymns.
Which is evidence of a spirit-filled life and church.
As I said, the Holy Spirit had a different plan.
So, during our discussion on worship, my little buddy Elias suggested that maybe people just don’t want to sing.
Talk about out of the mouths of babes.
And sadly, he may have hit on something.
He also suggested we do more Third Day songs, which may prompt more people to participate in worship.
And I responded that even if the band themselves were up here, some people would still not sing.
