5 foods to avoid:
-refined carbs; refined veggie oil; grains; legumes; alcohol...
-alcohol is a toxin & is addicting for some
When liver sees alcohol coming, stops everything else it is
doing to metabolize that alcohol and get rid of it...
Example: stops making glucose molecules and putting them
into bloodstream; gluconeogenesis stops
-also stops burning fat until alcohol all gone
Liver is command and control for body
below neck; it knows best--getting rid of
alcohol is top priority

Legumes contain more amino acids than other plant foods,
so are often recommended...
-if vegan, must eat legumes, especially tofu if can tolerate it
There are a lot safer and more effective ways to obtain
critical amino acids than from legumes
-legumes are mostly starch--if IR, do not have metabolic
flexibility to handle these carbs
Much better way to get essential amino
acids: make animal foods the core of our
diet

Legumes are seeds and so are heavily defended by plant...
-contain lots of anti-nutrients
-and defensive chemical toxins against predators
Therefore, much safer, more reliable, more digestible
ways to get amino acids with much less risk to
-gut health; nervous system health; metabolic health
