Rather than static stretching what I like to do is more of a flow sort of thing

What you see here is my generic, 1-stop-shopping preparatory AND/OR cool-down mobility flow where I move from position to position, pausing briefly to tease out end ranges
-
The choice of positions is to simulate a variety of activities I may find myself conducting throughout the day from kneeling, twisting and sitting in a squat
-
While this is a great way to conduct mobility to prepare for activity in general, in terms of a “warmup” the best practice is still a more sport/activity specific movement pattern or a combination of the two
