The Plagues of Egypt

In this video we discuss the plagues of Egypt, which are described in Exodus chapters 7 -`12 (see list below). If something like this happened, should there not be some evidence for it in Egyptian records? For many years, the lack of any known record of these events from the Egyptian side has led to a good deal of guessing over when these events occurred, as well as a complete dismissal of the Biblical account altogether. It should be noted that the lack of a record from the Egyptian side does not mean that the Exodus events did not occur, as Egypt has been ransacked many times and a good deal of priceless information has been lost. However, in this case, is just so happens that there is a record of the plagues of Egypt and their aftermath, found in an Egyptian papyrus dated to the late middle kingdom period.
