Healthy4Life - walking the railroad
1847 - The Union Rail Road opens. This was a 3ยฝ mile horse powered portage railway on the Quรฉbec side of the Ottawa River some 32 miles west of Bytown (Ottawa). It ran from Lac Deschenes to Lac des Chats to avoid Chats Falls and was build by an unincorporated partnership known as the Union Forwarding Company. This horse railway was put out of business by the coming of the steam railways and it was closed at the end of the navigation season in 1879.

๐ฆ Met Bambi The #Deer In Real Life Deep in the Woods. ๐
Hiking Every Trail In Ottawa & Gatineau ๐ถ๐ฅพ๐ด๐
Healthy4Life - Meet Bambi The Deer - coolest moment ever #Mystic ๐ฆ
Bambi is the titular protagonist of Disney's 1942 animated feature film of the same name. He is a white-tailed deer who was raised in the forest under the nurturing guidance and protection of his unnamed mother. As a wide-eyed and inquisitive fawn, Bambi shared much of his childhood with his best friends Thumper and Flower, a rabbit and skunk respectively. He would also become โtwitterpattedโ with Faline, a young doe. Throughout the seasons, Bambi would face coming-of-age trials and tribulations that would prepare him to someday assume the position of The Great Prince of the Forest.
Bambi originated as the main character in Felix Salten's Bambi, a Life in the Woods. He has made cameos in several Disney cartoons. In the Disney films, his species was changed from a roe deer to a white-tailed deer, which would be more familiar to American audiences. His image is a Disney icon comparable in recognition factors to Mickey Mouse, and he is even shown on Disney stock certificates.
What do deer symbolize spiritually?
It has a powerful meaning and represents virility. The deer embodies fertility, gentleness and wisdom, independence and creativity. It is also a symbol of regeneration and renewal.
Mysticism is popularly known as becoming one with God or the Absolute,[1][2] but may refer to any kind of ecstasy or altered state of consciousness which is given a religious or spiritual meaning.[web 1] It may also refer to the attainment of insight in ultimate or hidden truths, and to human transformation supported by various practices and experiences.
The term "mysticism" has Ancient Greek origins with various historically determined meanings.[web 1][web 2] Derived from the Greek word ฮผฯฯ mรบล, meaning "to close" or "to conceal",[web 2] mysticism referred to the biblical, liturgical, spiritual, and contemplative dimensions of early and medieval Christianity.[3] During the early modern period, the definition of mysticism grew to include a broad range of beliefs and ideologies related to "extraordinary experiences and states of mind."[4]
In modern times, "mysticism" has acquired a limited definition, with broad applications, as meaning the aim at the "union with the Absolute, the Infinite, or God".[web 1] This limited definition has been applied to a wide range of religious traditions and practices,[web 1] valuing "mystical experience" as a key element of mysticism.
Since the 1960s scholars have debated the merits of perennial and constructionist approaches in the scientific research of "mystical experiences".[5][6][7] The perennial position is now "largely dismissed by scholars",[8] most scholars using a contextualist approach, which considers the cultural and historical context

๐ #Exploring The Alexandra Bridge From: Ontario To Quebec Trails ๐
Health613
๐Healthy4Life ๐Walking The Bridge Ottawa To Gatineau ๐ด
The Alexandra Bridge has been an iconic feature of the Ottawa-Gatineau skyline for over 120 years. Originally built for trains, horse and wagons, electric streetcars, and pedestrians, the bridge is now used by thousands of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.
The Alexandra Bridge has reached the end of its service life and is due for replacement. The Government of Canada directed that the bridge be replaced to make sure the crossing can service transportation needs well into the future. Ongoing repairs will allow it to remain in use until the start of construction in 2028.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is the federal government department responsible for the management of the Alexandra Bridge, with the NCC acting as partner. The NCC, as part of an integrated project team, is leading a comprehensive engagement process, as well as many studies on this project.
Discover the extensive work and collaboration that is going into replacing this iconic bridge in PSPCโs new story โGetting ready for a new bridge.โ
The Royal Alexandra Interprovincial Bridge,[2][3] also known as the Alexandra Bridge or Interprovincial Bridge, is a steel truss cantilever bridge spanning the Ottawa River between Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. In addition to carrying vehicle traffic, a shared use pathway on the bridge for pedestrians and cyclists is maintained by the National Capital Commission.[4]
The bridge was designated by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering a National Historic Civil Engineering Site in June 1995. It was owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway until it was taken over by the National Capital Commission in 1970. It is now (2018) owned by the Government of Canada and maintained by Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC).
History
The bridge was constructed by the Canadian Pacific Railway between 1898 and 1900. Four barges were built to move steel beams into position. During the winter (1899โ1900) workmen toiled day and night chopping channels to keep the ice clear for the barges to pass so that work could continue on the superstructure. Considerable construction delays were caused by the severe winter conditions. By September 1900 the four fixed support spans were complete. The Canadian Society of Civil Engineers held its annual meeting in Ottawa in order that its members might tour the bridge works and see the preparations being made for placing the centre span. The bridge's main cantilever centre span was, at the time of construction, the longest in Canada and the fourth-longest in the world. Both records are now held by the Quebec Bridge. The centre span was successfully put in place on October 7, and a locomotive made a trial run on December 12, 1900. On February 18, 1901, the bridge was officially inaugurated as the Interprovincial Bridge as it had been built by the Ottawa Interprovincial Bridge Company. The name was changed in September 1901 to the "Royal Alexandra Bridge" in honour of the new Queen during the visit of her son, the Duke of Cornwall and York, later George V.[7]
The Alexandra Bridge seen from Ottawa
Crossing the Alexandra bridge from the Ottawa side
The Royal Alexandra Interprovincial Bridge crosses the Ottawa River just east of Parliament Hill at Nepean Point in Ottawa. The bridge was designed primarily to carry CPR trains but also had a track for local electric trolley service between Ottawa and Hull, as well as a lane for carriage traffic. A large fire severely damaged the bridge in 1946, permanently terminating trolley traffic.
During the late 1950s the bridge was upgraded to carry vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The closure of Ottawa Union Station in 1966 saw the last passenger trains use the Royal Alexandra Bridge and the railway tracks were removed as the bridge became exclusively a vehicular-pedestrian bridge.
On August 21, 1989, the bridge was the site of a noted murder. Alain Brosseau, a waiter at the Chรขteau Laurier, was walking home to his apartment in Hull after finishing his shift at 11:30 pm. On his way he passed through Major's Hill Park. The park was known as a popular gay cruising area, and six youths were also in the park searching for homosexuals to rob and attack. They saw Brosseau and followed him when he walked to the bridge, believing incorrectly that he was gay. A short way across Brosseau was first hit with a stick and then robbed. Gang member Jeffrey Lalonde then lifted Brosseau and threw him off the bridge. Brosseau was killed instantly when he hit the rocks below.[8] Lalonde was given a life sentence, and died in jail in 2008.[9]
The bridge is designated by the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering a National Historic Civil Engineering Site in June 1895. It was owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway until it was taken over by the National Capital Commission in 1970. It is now (2018) owned by the Government of Canada and maintained by Public Services and Procurement Canada

The Barrhaven Quarry in Ottawa has been a topic of interest for various reasons. Itโs a former gravel pit located in the Barrhaven area, which has been the subject of development plans and safety concerns.
Development Plans: The site has been proposed for a 500-home development by Caivan Communities1. The rezoning for this project has been approved, but the subdivision wonโt proceed until the mining license is formally retired2.
Safety Concerns: The quarry has also been a popular but illegal swimming spot. There have been incidents, including a tragic drowning, which led to calls for the site to be fenced off for safety3. Ottawa police have also cracked down on trespassing at the quarry4.
Is there something specific you were looking to know about the Barrhaven Quarry?

Health Over Wealth Photoshoot Meet Paris.
Clear Blue Water Rock Cliff Bungee jumping
A photo shoot is the process taken by creatives and models that results in a visual objective being obtained. An example is a model posing for a photographer at a studio or an outdoor location.[1]
A photo shoot is a series of images that are taken, with the goal of obtaining images that can then be placed into post-production, or editing. These images are then used for print/digital advertising, business collateral, or just for personal use.
An amateur photo shoot is more likely to be under the arrangement of Trade-For-Portfolio (TFP), whereas a professional photo shoot for a brand or product is likely to be a paid arrangement. With TFP photo shoots, the agreement is often that everyone involved in the shoot will receive the high-resolution, edited images as a form of payment.[2]
With professional photo shoots, the contract is generally signed via a representative modelling agency and so payment is generally always monetary. Due to this, models may not be guaranteed to get the images returned to them as it is the property of the hiring firm/individual. Many photo shoots hire models from professional modelling agencies, and may also hire stylists, makeup and hair artists.

zero water filter
ZeroWater offers a range of water filters and filtration systems designed to provide clean, great-tasting water. Their products use a 5-stage filtration process to remove up to 99.9% of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from your tap water, which includes heavy metals like lead and harmful chemicals like PFOA/PFOS. This makes it one of the most effective filtration systems available1.
Would you like more information on a specific ZeroWater product, or are you interested in learning about how their filters compare to other brands?
Recently, epidemiological studies have suggested that fluoride is a human developmental neurotoxicant that reduces measures of intelligence in children, placing it into the same category as toxic metals (lead, methylmercury, arsenic) and polychlorinated biphenyls. If true, this assessment would be highly relevant considering the widespread fluoridation of drinking water and the worldwide use of fluoride in oral hygiene products such as toothpaste. To gain a deeper understanding of these assertions, we reviewed the levels of human exposure, as well as results from animal experiments, particularly focusing on developmental toxicity, and the molecular mechanisms by which fluoride can cause adverse effects. Moreover, in vitro studies investigating fluoride in neuronal cells and precursor/stem cells were analyzed, and 23 epidemiological studies published since 2012 were considered. The results show that the margin of exposure (MoE) between no observed adverse effect levels (NOAELs) in animal studies and the current adequate intake (AI) of fluoride (50 ยตg/kg b.w./day) in humans ranges between 50 and 210, depending on the specific animal experiment used as reference. Even for unusually high fluoride exposure levels, an MoE of at least ten was obtained. Furthermore, concentrations of fluoride in human plasma are much lower than fluoride concentrations, causing effects in cell cultures. In contrast, 21 of 23 recent epidemiological studies report an association between high fluoride exposure and reduced intelligence. The discrepancy between experimental and epidemiological evidence may be reconciled with deficiencies inherent in most of these epidemiological studies on a putative association between fluoride and intelligence, especially with respect to adequate consideration of potential confounding factors, e.g., socioeconomic status, residence, breast feeding, low birth weight, maternal intelligence, and exposure to other neurotoxic chemicals. In conclusion, based on the totality of currently available scientific evidence, the present review does not support the presumption that fluoride should be assessed as a human developmental neurotoxicant at the current exposure levels in Europe.
fasting benefits
Fasting has been shown to offer several health benefits. Here are some of the key benefits backed by science:
Promotes Blood Sugar Control: Fasting can help reduce insulin resistance, which can be beneficial for those at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Fights Inflammation: Studies have found that fasting can decrease levels of inflammation, which is linked to chronic conditions like heart disease and arthritis.
Aids Weight Loss: By limiting calorie intake and boosting metabolism, fasting can help with weight loss.
Improves Heart Health: Fasting has been shown to improve blood pressure, triglycerides, and cholesterol levels, which are all important for heart health.
Boosts Brain Function: Fasting may enhance brain function and protect against neurodegenerative disorders.
Increases Growth Hormone Secretion: Fasting can increase levels of human growth hormone, which supports growth, metabolism, and muscle strength.
May Help Prevent Cancer: Some studies suggest that fasting could help protect against certain types of cancer.
Promotes Longevity: There is evidence that fasting can extend lifespan and improve overall health.
It's important to note that fasting isn't suitable for everyone, and it's always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new diet or fasting regimen.
coffee vs tea
Coffee and tea each have their own unique qualities and benefits. Here's a quick comparison:
Coffee:
Caffeine Content: Generally higher than tea, which can boost alertness and energy levels.
Antioxidants: Rich in antioxidants that can help protect cells from damage.
Health Benefits: May reduce the risk of certain diseases like Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and type 2 diabetes.
Taste: Bold and robust, with a wide variety of flavors depending on the roast and origin.
Tea:
Caffeine Content: Usually lower than coffee, which can provide a gentler, sustained energy boost.
Antioxidants: Contains polyphenols and flavonoids that have various health benefits.
Health Benefits: Can improve heart health, boost the immune system, and aid in digestion. Certain teas like green and herbal teas have additional health-promoting properties.
Variety: Offers a vast range of flavors and types, from black and green to herbal and oolong.
Heart rate is the frequency of the heartbeat measured by the number of contractions of the heart per minute (beats per minute, or bpm). The heart rate varies according to the body's physical needs, including the need to absorb oxygen and excrete carbon dioxide. It is also modulated by numerous factors, including (but not limited to) genetics, physical fitness, stress or psychological status, diet, drugs, hormonal status, environment, and disease/illness, as well as the interaction between these factors.[1] It is usually equal or close to the pulse rate measured at any peripheral point.[2]
The American Heart Association states the normal resting adult human heart rate is 60โ100 bpm. An ultra-trained athlete would have a resting heart rate of 37โ38 bpm.[3] Tachycardia is a high heart rate, defined as above 100 bpm at rest.[4] Bradycardia is a low heart rate, defined as below 60 bpm at rest. When a human sleeps, a heartbeat with rates around 40โ50 bpm is common and considered normal. When the heart is not beating in a regular pattern, this is referred to as an arrhythmia. Abnormalities of heart rate sometimes indicate disease.[5]
vitamin d3 benefits
Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, offers several health benefits:
Bone Health: It plays a crucial role in the formation and maintenance of strong, healthy bones by enhancing calcium absorption and supporting bone repair.
Immune System: Vitamin D3 helps regulate immune responses, boosting the body's ability to fight infections and reducing inflammation.
Mental Health: Adequate levels of Vitamin D3 are associated with improved mood and may help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.
Heart Health: It supports heart health by regulating blood pressure and reducing the risk of heart disease2.
Muscle Function: Vitamin D3 is important for muscle function and may help prevent muscle weakness and spasms.
Skin Health: It can contribute to glowing skin and may help with conditions like acne.
Weight Management: Some studies suggest that Vitamin D3 may support weight loss and help regulate body weight2

Benefits of clay
Absorbing excess oil and sebum from the skin, preventing acne and clogged pores
Cleansing and detoxing the skin from dirt, dust, and pollution
Providing gentle exfoliation and enhancing blood circulation to brighten the skin
Hydrating and restoring the skin's balance
Relaxing and soothing the skin
Researchers believe bentonite clay adsorbs materialsTrusted Source by sticking to their molecules or ions. As the clay leaves the body, it takes the toxin or other molecules.
Clay detox is a natural remedy that has been used for centuries to remove toxins and impurities from the body1. Benefits of clay detox
Improving skin health
Treating digestive issues #NaturalClay
Boosting the immune system
Absorbing free radicals and toxins
Fighting infections
Helping you lose weight
Relieving allergies
When someone uses it on the skin, bentonite clay may have the power to adsorb oils and bacteria. When someone consumes the clay, it may adsorb toxins or other unwanted substances from the digestive tract.
Bentonite clay contains natural minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron, which may provide additional benefits.
Bentonite clay forms from volcanic ash. It gets its name from Fort Benton in Wyoming, where it occurs in large amounts.
People can also find this clay in other places where volcanic ash has settled into the ground. Montmorillonite clay, named after Montmorillon in France, is the same type of clay.
The following list looks at the potential benefits of bentonite clay and what the research says.
1. Removing toxins from the body
Various studies have examined bentonite clayโs effect on toxins in different models.
A 2019 studyTrusted Source highlights bentonite clayโs effectiveness at aflatoxin sorption in earlier animal and human trials.
The researchers also tested a sodium bentonite clay on computational, in vivo, and in vitro models, suggesting it may offer a method to combat emergencies, such as an outbreak of acute aflatoxicosis.
A 2022 case study Trusted Source used a combination of bentonite clay, probiotics, and black seed oil to treat a 2 year old with a Clostridium difficile (C. diff) infection. After four days, there were no traces of C. diff in the childโs stool samples.
According to a 2020 reviewTrusted Source, bentoniteโs success as a detoxifying agent may stem from its structure.
However, a 2022 study Trusted Source suggests that the effectiveness of clays, including bentonite, to bind to various toxins in animal feed may depend on the type of toxin.
Despite this research, further studies on human models are necessary to further understand the extent of bentonite clayโs ability to remove toxins from the body.
How to use
People should not consume bentonite clay without speaking with a healthcare professional first. Healthcare professionals will be able to recommend the correct dosage and frequency of consuming bentonite to rid the body of toxins.
A doctor can ensure that someone uses safe types and amounts or can suggest alternative treatment options.
2. Treating oily skin and acne
Bentonite clayโs adsorbent power may help treat acne breakouts and oily skin. The clay may help remove sebum, or oil, from the skinโs surface, and it may have a calming effect on inflamed breakouts.
A clay face mask may help remove impurities from the skin to reduce the risk of pimples and skin infections.
However, further studies are necessary to prove the benefits of bentonite as an acne treatment.
How to use
Some commercial facial masks contain clays because of their clarifying effect on the skin. Some skin care masks contain bentonite, but people can also make a bentonite mask at home.
Mix bentonite clay powder with water to make a thick paste. Apply to the areas of skin that are prone to oil or acne. Leave the mask on for 20 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Repeat two or three times per week.
3. Detoxifying the skin
Some people use bentonite clay to cleanse specific parts of their body, including the following areas:
feet
face
4. Treating poison ivy
Many peopleTrusted Source are allergic to urushiol, the oil that poison ivy plants produce. When their skin comes into contact with poison ivy, they may develop the characteristic rash as an allergic reaction.
A poison ivy rash can cause redness, irritation, and severe itching. Bentonite clay may be an effective treatment option after exposure to poison ivy.
How to use
Wash the skin with soap and water as soon as possible after touching poison ivy. Use dish soap or a soap able to remove oils to help remove the urushiol from the skin.
Mix bentonite clay with water to form a paste and apply it to the affected area. Cover with a clean bandage or gauze pad. Repeat several times per day until the rash is gone.

You Are What You Eat ๐
What are the 20 most healthy foods?
Research from 2021 developed a scoring system of food based on 54 attributes covering these nine domains: nutrient ratios, vitamins, minerals, food ingredients, additives, processing, specific lipids, fiber and protein, and phytochemicals. Based on the mean values of this scoring system, the healthiest food categories are:
legumes
vegetables
fruit
fish and seafood
sauce condiment
dairy
mixed dishes
beverages
grains
meat, poultry, eggs
fats and oils
savory snacks and sweet desserts
Of course, whether a particular food is healthier than another ultimately depends on the exact food and any specific ingredients it may contain. Itโs a good idea to consult a dietician to determine exactly what foods are best for you.
What foods are healthy to eat every day?
According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2020-2025Trusted Source, each day you should aim to eat a variety of fruit, vegetables, dairy, grains, and foods containing protein (either plant-based or from lean meats or fish).
What is the #1 healthiest food?
No one food can provide all the nutrients you need to consume in one day, so eating a balanced diet is the best way to get what you need to stay healthy. In addition, the state of your overall health and any conditions you might have may limit what foods you can consume, even if they are very nutritious. Speak to your doctor to determine the best nutrition plan for you.
That said, research looking at the nutrient density of various food groups found that the following foods contain the most nutrients:
organ meats
small fish
dark green leafy vegetables
bivalves such as oysters and clams
crustaceans such as lobster and shrimp
goat meat
beef
eggs
milk
canned fish with bones
mutton
lamb
The bottom line
Whether you want to overhaul your diet or simply change up your meals, itโs easy to add a number of these foods to your routine.
Many of the foods above make a great snack while also providing essential nutrients. Some may even aid weight loss.

๐ฒ๐ Kobe The Bearded Dragon Waking Up To Eat ๐ฆ๐ฆโ๏ธ 8 Months Old ๐ผ๐ฃ๐ผ
Coolest Pet In The World ๐ฒ๐ฆ
Pogona is a genus of reptiles containing eight lizard species, which are often known by the common name bearded dragons. The name "bearded dragon" refers to the underside of the throat (or "beard") of the lizard, which can turn black and become inflated for a number of reasons, most often as a result of stress, if they feel threatened, or are trying to entice a mate. They are a semiarboreal species, spending significant amounts of time on branches, in bushes, and near human habitation. Pogona species bask on rocks and exposed branches in the mornings and afternoons and sleep at night, making them a diurnal species. Their diet consists primarily of vegetation and some insects. They are found throughout much of Australia and inhabit environments such as deserts, and shrublands.
Captive adult measuring over 30 cm (1 ft)
Galore Hill Nature Reserve, New South Wales, Australia
Skeleton at the Museum of Osteology in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, United States
The genus Pogona is in the subfamily Amphibolurinae of the lizard group Agamidae. Bearded dragons are characterized by their broad, triangular heads, flattened bodies, and rows and clusters of spiny scales covering their entire bodies. When threatened, bearded dragons puff up their bodies and beards to ward off predators and make their somewhat dull spikes seem more dangerous. Bearded dragons display a hand-waving gesture to show submission (most often when acknowledging another bearded dragon's territory), and a head-bobbing display to show dominance between dragons. Some have the ability to slightly change color in response to certain stimuli including rivalry challenges between males and ambient temperature changes (e.g., turning black to absorb heat). Bearded dragons occur in a variety of colors and morphs and can range from being all dark to completely white under controlled breeding conditions. Males grow up to 60 cm (24 in) long, and females up to 51 cm (20 in).
Bearded dragons live in the woodlands, heaths, deserts and coastal dunes, with their range extending throughout the interior of the eastern states to the eastern half of South Australia and southeastern Northern Territory. They are considered to be semiarboreal and quite readily climb and bask at height. This is also linked to dominance behavior and competition for territory/basking areas. They can be found on fallen/broken trees, rocky outcrops, and bushes when basking. Many of the Australian locals have spotted bearded dragons on fence posts and elevated rocky areas. At night, they prefer to dig holes to sleep in, climb in trees, or submerge themselves in rocks and like to climb into the cracks and crevices of stones and caves.
Bearded dragons go through a type of hibernation called brumation, in which like hibernation, reptiles go months without eating, but sporadically drink water. Reptiles go dormant in the hottest temperatures, but it differs from brumation during cooler temperatures. When temperatures are extreme, a very small range of temperatures exists through which the reptile's bodies can stay active and where their bodies cannot tolerate the extreme heat and they die.[9] Bearded dragons go through brumation when the temperature goes below 15.5โ21.0ยฐC (60โ70ยฐF) during the night and 24.0โ26.5ยฐC (75โ80ยฐF) during the day for 8-10 hours. When the climate is too hot they will often burrow underground. They will also form more permanent burrows or covered hiding places to use as protection from the climate changes at night and predation.
