After a hard and long day's work of having Blue-Eyes White Dragon White Lightning our many opponents, we head below to take a nap. Yet halfway through, we're interrupted and required to return to swinging our shward around, with fiends having invaded the ships decks. In the commotion, we learn nothing new about how evil Shinra is towards civilians, nor much about Barret's blackness, but we do learn is that Jenova is somehow here and is really annoying in Hard Mode. Without the means to do some actual Hard Mode stuffs, we have no choice but to relax in a children's card game; Duel Monsters--I MEAN Queen's Blood! We also get to see red attempt to participate, but at the last second the judges felt to NOT allow an intelligent and actually fluently speaking canine play a children's card game. I would have called for the manager, but Red can see how dumb these Humans are, so disguising himself would be the smarter option. Having another chance at the battle simulators Chadley has made up for us, we divulge into Red's Hard Mode special fights, both with teamwork in the 10 round match and solo in the 5 round match. We barely have any issues getting through most of the trials, but do get to struggle a bit and not exactly obtain a perfect. Before heading further into the main story, we go to take on more Hard Mode challenges, where the roles are reversed to how they've usually been going. We normally get to have fun and do a lot of damage without effort in teams, struggling through singles, but now it's the opposite; singles is easy, teams is hard. With a need to ignore the rules of pushing forward with the story and do some side questing, telling Barret to shut it as we get to helping a hairless doggo deliver cash to splash to a son and finding out about a strange do-nothing Merc... Back on track to doing all the damage to Hard Mode's campaign, we take our flightless birbs to an underground town, where we smack talk a lot to the mayor/sheriff, who doesn't tell us about the judge, jury, and executioner. Many screams are made as we're told to be quiet, then with a promise to talk to a ninja in 24 hours, we get visited in less than 2 and hear about taking down the Shinra president: Rufus Shinra. Doubling up on the Hard Mode trials, we get to use big man chesticle child; Tifa, to beat down some interesting fiends. Seems almost too easy, and even more so when we get to blow stuff up in the three vs everything trial. So now we gotta help some gross old mad who's a baby about doing work. Now able to take a break from the normally absurd cutscenes, we are challenged with Chadly's enhanced hard mode trials. We first get to battle in the three vs whatever we tried and failed last session, getting a better materia setup this time around to absolutely obliterate the fiends. It's the off to a one vs everything with Barret, finding that to be a little more problematic than previously expected. Pushing further through the late half of Chapter 3, we get to handle climbing and pushing things around as the loud/foul mouth; Barret. He's lucky Red's with him, or I'd left him for dead with the rocks that come to life and try to unalive us. We also get to see carnivorous Condors and Barret not be suited for one-on-one combat, having a chance to try the Hard Mode trials and failing spectacularly. Having our upload plans ruined by a certain silver hedgehog, we head through the swamp to not fight a giant snake, only to then have to fight a giant snake--because giant snake! We learn that giant snake doesn't use MAGIC to breathe fire, and just does like a dragon, but in giant snake form. And after having a poor man's swamp barbeque, we get to learn of some women in black that uses power of ignorance to blow stuff up without harming herself. Having felt good about my temporary rage in the battle simulations, we go about handling the side quests to talk smack against the smack talkers, who seem to not understand manners and how to watch their mouths. We also meet the most pathetic bartender in existence, while also attempting to "fail" at picking flowers. Of course, the fail in that isn't from the picking... It's from attempting to pick. As an every other session event for this series, we now get into the "real" hard mode challenges, the "hard" combat simulator missions. These supposedly test your knowledge and skill of the game, and since I've neither I figured it'll be easy. My only issue is my patience, or the lack their of, and making things explode--like myself! Having a good night's rest of nightmares and torment about Silver The Hedgehog going psycho, we go about our vacation to bully card players and question the hippie about why she feels the need to feel for plants. We also help with Red's equipment, though I can't actually tell if he's got any, then Shinra appears to mess things up, yet does get to find us before we start running around looking for big yellow feather friends. Although we lost a fighter in the war of knowledge, we continue onward to the first reactor in Cloud's dreams to learn of how Silver-The-Hedgehog became an acupuncture doctor. He was very good at it too, even getting a second skill in shaving beards! Yet while we relive the past one way, another's conflicts and forces us to tell them "Classified C.I.A. business", which they'll have to take up with the F.B.I. to better understand why they can't know. Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth is the sequel to the beloved Remake of the same title. The party continues after the events of defying destiny and breaking from the original timeline of the original game's events, attempting to stop the once world renowned hero: Sephiroth, who is now also defying destiny and trying to control time and different dimensions himself. The part must put an end to this, seeking to find the fallen one-winged angel wherever he may be. We take to reliving the events of the last game and break into our own tailored reality, hurrying to find the silver hedgehog that has mommy issues to keep them from recorrecting the timeline. However, while on our way to swing our swords in the present, we have to relive swinging our sword in the past of Cloud's false memory, having to deal with a whiny Tifa that doesn't really act all that excited to see/hear us.
