MOHYELDIN: “Glenn, I will start with you. And your reading of the filing, this most recent Jack Smith filing, and what you thought as being the most consequential part of it.”
KIRSCHNER: “I think those two words, so what. When Donald Trump was informed that essentially his vice president was in danger, was in harm’s way, Donald Trump was watching on TV the attack on the U.S. capital. That reinforced that Mike Pence was in danger. Donald Trump said: so what. You know what, Ayman? That is kind of inconsistent with a president’s constitutional duty to take care that the laws of the nation be faithfully executed. What I cannot wait is for this evidence to be presented to 12 people in that wooden box in that courtroom in Washington, D.C., a courthouse in which I tried lots of cases because they will be so impressed with the callousness and the danger presented by Donald Trump that he better hold on tight because once that jury gets a hold of that evidence, it is not going to go well for him, I suspect.”
