BAIER: “We have new battleground state polls. As you take a look at the four polls over the last couple of days, these are likely voters, and, again, Arizona 51-48, Georgia you see Vice President Harris with the lead. North Carolina slight lead for the former president and tied as it has been in Pennsylvania. One interesting point from Arizona, the breakout on the issue of immigration overwhelming support for the former president. Also on the economy and obviously as we have seen in every state, abortion flips the other way for the vice president. We are back with our panel. Mollie, anything surprising on any of these numbers, and what about the vice president’s trip?”
HEMINGWAY: “Well, what we are seeing with so many of these polls is it’s essentially a tied race. And that’s interesting because 2016, 2020 we were told that Trump had no shot of winning, he, of course, won in 2016. Narrowly lost in 2020, and so these tied numbers are indicative of just how flawed of a candidate Kamala Harris is. And I think this border trip today happened at the worst possible time for her given the other news that came out that her administration allowed, you know, nearly half a million criminals, many of them violent criminals to just be in the country and roaming freely, including 16,000 convicted murderers and 13,000 rapists or maybe it was the other way around, 13,000 murderers and 16,000 connected rapists. This is something that would be ending a presidential campaign in any sane country.”
