Pokrovsk: Only a CEASEFIRE Can Save Them?

The Russian cauldron to the south of #pokrovsk continues to tighten as #ukrainsk has either fallen or is about to fall. The last stronghold for #ukraine on the northern pincer is the town of #Hirnyk, which is expected to hold back #russia for a long time. However, if it falls, the Ukrainians trapped in the #nevelske salient will only have one chance of escape- to fight their way out of the trap. On the southern pincer, Russia continues to advance toward #kurakhove. Further south, things are no better for Ukraine. The fortress town of #vulhedar or #ugledar is now also being encircled on two sides and if it falls, it will open up a Russian attack to Kurakhove from the south. Meanwhile, up north, the Ukrainian counter attack to the west near #vesele toward #glushovko has stalled with little advance as Russian reserves have been sent to counter. The Russian counterattack toward #sudzha however, is continuing from two sides: #lyumbomivka to the west and through #borki further east. Russia is attempting to cut the Sudhza-Sumy highway and trap the Ukrainians in the #kursk bulge.
Lastly, former advisor to #zelesnky Oleksii #arestovych, sees the coming collapse of Pokrovsk and says Ukraine must get a ceasefire now to avoid the disastrous consequences.
