39th In our series the Prophet Micah

I. The Corrupt and Evil Kingdom - Micah 7:1-4
* A. Micah the watchmen is distraught in the presence of evil
* 1. Unchecked wickedness in any land brings grief and woe to the righteous who experience it
* a. The experience of Lot - 2 Peter 2:6-9
* b. Sin is a reproach to any people - Proverbs 14:34
* 2. Perilous times ensue when the faithful and good men and women vanish
* B. When the civil government conspires together with powerful private parties to do evil, a land is overwhelmed by degeneracy 
* 1. The workings of the wicked must not remain secret
* 2. Jesus comes to destroy those who destroy the earth - Revelation 11:18
* 3. The history of biological weapons production

II. All these are Judgments from the Almighty upon Judah - Micah 7:5-7
* A. Friendships are subverted when trust is destroyed
* B. Families are destroyed from within by treachery and deceit
* 1. Trust is the glue which holds a civilization together
* 2. Jesus experienced this - He was betrayed by a close friend, and denied three times by His closest friend
* a. Jesus warned us to be on guard - Matthew 10:16-23, 34-39
* b. He will bring division - Luke 12:51-53
* C. When all around us fails, we look to the Lord our God
* 1. Looking to the Lord for everything 
* a. Knowing He alone is our Salvation
* b. Knowing He hears our prayers 
* 2. Waiting on the Lord = growing in patience - James 1:2-5
