Get your thoughts out of your head. When we're in depression we're often ruminating on negative thoughts and they spawn more thoughts and so we end up with more negativity and it's kind of a horrible place to be. 💙

One of the ways you can short circuit those ruminating thoughts is to write down your thoughts. Put them in a journal if you like doing something structured. Just make a list on the back of an envelope or on your phone, on your tablet, on your PC. 💙

You can also talk. Talk to your friends about what's going around in your head. Talk to your relatives if they're amenable to listening or talk to a therapist or a counselor or a coach if you have one of those. 💙

If you don't have one of those you can just talk your thoughts out loud and just vent them into the ether. It can be a way for you to discharge the negative ruminating thoughts. That can help calm you and it can help you see that those ruminating thoughts aren't quite the monsters that they are running around inside your head. 💙
