Velshi: “You testified before Congress about the dangers of these lies, like Speaker Johnson’s and Donald Trump’s. What kind of threats come from these lies being done around carelessly?”

BENSON: “The real threat is the threat to election officials, people who have been fed these lies. I understand the fear of an election system where anyone but U.S. citizens are participating but it is an unfounded fear. When people who have been misled to believe that this is actually happening, when it’s not, then they direct their ire at us. Those who are angry doing everything they can to protect the integrity of the process. That is the irony of the whole thing.”
