Depression Tip #8: Stress, Stress, Stress!💙

When we're depressed we often feel that we're completely overwhelmed by stress. Stress comes in different formats. There's physical stress that you put your body under, maybe if you exercise, go for a run or if you have a demanding physical job.💙

Then there's the emotional stress like the feelings of hopelessness, of worthlessness, feelings of maybe being embarrassed or rejected. And then there's also the psychological aspects of stress, the thinking stress, the ruminating thoughts that I'm not good enough and I said the wrong thing or what if I do the wrong thing and anxiety kicks in as well.💙

While we're depressed it's probably a good idea to minimize each and every one and try to reach a point where there's so little going on in your life that you can cope and then once you can cope it takes a huge weight off of you and you can start adding back in other things and you add them in when they're small so that you can cope with them because each additional thing that you can cope with provides positive feedback.💙
