Depression Tip #7: Enjoyable Activities!💙

Be sure to do things that you used to enjoy. It's very easy in depression to just stop doing things, because generally we suffer from something called anhedonia, which is the difficulty in taking pleasure from anything.💙

So all the things that we used to do that used to give us pleasure, we just stopped doing. And then we just disappear into our own vortex of negative thoughts. Try to think back to what you used to do, a hobby you used to enjoy, an experience you used to like having.💙

I actually went to my first rock concert in about 30 years over the weekend, which is why I probably look a bit exhausted. And it was very interesting to get back to the experience of live music. So you may be thinking, well, what's the point?💙

I won't get any pleasure from it, but it's important to just have a go and see if you can rekindle the enjoyment, the love, the fascination, the curiosity, the different positive aspects of the hobbies and experiences that you used to enjoy.💙
