04 1955 Chevy 2-Ton Stake Body Part 04 and Final

The '55 Chevy Stake Body is finished; at least as far as I'm concerned. I actually had a good time building this kit even with and maybe because of all the fit issues I had with it. I'm not sure if all of these kits are as bad as this one or if I got the lucky one? :-{D. I used it to test out some things that I've been wanting to try especially when it comes to rusting and weathering. I'd love to hear comments and I would really like to hear from modelers who are good at doing rust and dirt. I'm open to any and all criticism and suggestions. Scratch Building the bed stakes Assembling the horribly designed body What I'm about to say is my opinion only: The body of this model comes in seven pieces and is a real pain to assemble. It is a very poor design and no matter what I did I couldn't get everything to fit well, even after dry fitting the parts. It's a good thing I was planning to make this an old beat-up farm truck otherwise I would have already thrown it in my box of parts that can be salvaged for other things. I've assembled some fairly bad models from bad molds, but this one is over the top. The '55 Chevy Stake Body is finished; at least as far as I'm concerned.

I actually had a good time building this kit even with and maybe because
