The Glenn Beck Program was a weekday TV show that aired daily at 5 PM on the Fox News Channel. It was hosted by talk radio show host Glenn Beck who's local radio show went national in the wake of 9/11. That event forever tainted the flavor of this series as it dug into current events locating the seeds from history that were coming to fruition in then current times. In 2006, Beck also began doing a TV show with CNN Headline News and in 2009 he moved to Fox News where he continued to do this show until 2011. Shortly after he founded GBTV that later became BlazeTV.

On some of these shows, Glenn invited experts to come on and educate his audience on American history. It was the first time many learned these things forgotten nuggets of history that have been erased by progressives and rewritten. One of the most well remembered series of these such shows was Founding Fathers Fridays from 2010. Each week Glenn and a panel of guests would discuss a different founder or group of founders and share their stories with America. It was also when many Americans first learned of David Barton of Wallbuilders who had been archiving such content about American history for years.

The left hated these shows since they couldn't refute the facts so they sought to smear, mock, or "discredit" anyone who appeared on them with varying degrees of success. In one instance, they successfully got a book by Barton pulled by the publisher, Thomas Nelson, about Thomas Jefferson because of his affiliation with Glenn Beck. That book, and several by other authors, was likely the fruit of the interest in our history inspired by these Founding Fathers Fridays shows.

Since no archive of these evergreen education topics exists online, we have collected the entire run of Founding Fathers Fridays episodes here so this history is not forgotten. We have also linked to the books cited in each episode in case anyone would like to do further study on their own.

In this third episode of Founding Fathers Fridays, Glenn explores Rev George Whitefield and the Great Awakening with Thomas Kidd and Jerome Mahaffy.
