Is a Point and Shoot Camera Enough?
Is a point and shoot camera enough? Some would say the versatility of an interchangeable lens camera makes it the better option, but that may not always be the case. Some point and shoot cameras have built a strong reputation for taking great photos. With that in mind, I am taking an interchangeable lens camera and a point and shoot camera on a road trip to see how they compare, and to find out if a point and shoot camera is enough. For the interchangeable lens camera I have my trusty Minolta SRT-MC-II paired with a Minolta Rokkor 35mm f/2.8 lens from 1966. The point and shoot camera I am bringing is a Nikon L35AF2 that comes with a built in Nikon 35mm f/2.8 lens. The numbers are the same on both lenses, but one is controlled by a computer from 1985, and one by me. Both the interchangeable lens camera and the point and shoot camera are loaded with the same Fujifilm 400 ISO 35mm film. So lets hit the road and see if a point and shoot camera is enough.
