Depression And Procrastination!💙

Let's talk about depression and procrastination. I want to talk about a really specific thing relating to procrastination that I've realised recently about my depression. What I did in depression that I don't do now is I put off doing small chores like cleaning rooms and things like that.💙

Because doing chores and keeping up with things, keeping things nice and clean didn't have any impact on me. I didn't feel any sense of accomplishment. Whereas if something was put off for a long time and, say, the dust really built up or the dishes really built up, then when I actually got around to doing it, it almost felt like there was a sense of accomplishment. 💙

And I think that's one of the reasons why I procrastinated. It was a subconscious mechanism that I wasn't getting any positive feedback by just staying on top of things. Whereas I do get that now. So if you're putting off things like that, it may be something to think about. 💙
