Called to Compiègne: The Horrors of the French Revolution

Jonathan Michael O’Brien joins the show to discuss his book Called to Compiègne. This is the story of 16 Carmelite Nuns who would not be cowed by the terror of the French Revolution and were martyred for their faith. Included with the story is a translation of the full relation of events left by Sister Marie de l’Incarnation, one of the surviving Carmelites, and various letters and other pieces of writing that survived.
