Hello everyone. In tonight's study we continue our series with the Purposes of God.

God has purposed to give His children a living hope. This hope only comes to the believer through Jesus Christ. God has declared that this hope which is only found in Jesus is incorruptible which means it can never be tainted by sin.

God also declared that this living hope found only in Jesus Christ is undefiled which means it can never be tainted by sins.

Well what is the difference between sin and sins? Sin is contained in the human spirit and cannot be modified by human behavior because the human spirit lives in the spirit realm. The human spirit is the sinner who lives inside of the body.

Sins are the acts performed by the soul and the body of humans. They are the results of behavior which can be modified by humans. A drunkard can stop drinking without Christ. A drug addict can stop doing drugs without Christ. A fornicator and adulterer can stop their sexual immorality without Christ. All of these people can then become faithfully religious and participate in religious activities without Christ.

What does that mean? It means that they made a decision to change their lifestyle which has nothing to do with obtaining salvation from God. Salvation has nothing to do with the change of behavior. The results of salvation changes the sinner who then changes the way he thinks then changes his behavior. But that is not the hope.

The living hope is that the believer will one day get to see the Lord God who is the Savior face to face. The living hope is Christ who happens to be LIFE.

That's why the hope is living, is incorruptible, and can never be defiled!

Today's study is 1 hour and 8 minutes in duration. I have broken it into two segments. This is segment 1 of 2 titled The incorruptible hope of the true believer. Part 1
