Sometimes God will send us through a storm. It’s not what we had planned, but what God has planned. It may not be pleasant, but it is far better than if we just do things our own way. In this lesson, the people had planned to sail to Rome, Italy; but because of a storm, they found themselves shipwrecked on the Island of Malta. God’s plan was bigger than just sailing to Italy. He wanted to see the people on the boat saved, and also the people on Malta. Through that storm, He wanted them to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I'm really excited to share this lesson with you today on being a watchman! This is an important role within the church that God has called all Christ followers to do, to some degree or another. A watchman gives warning when someone is headed down the wrong path, to try to help them get going in the direction they need to be. Paul was imprisoned for doing God's will, for setting a woman free from an evil spirit. The people didn't like that because they were making a lot of money off of her and her soothsaying, so they used the legal system to put them in prison. God breaks them free from prison, and gets the jailor and his household saved. It's important to stand for biblical truth no matter what, and that may involve persecution, but God blesses us greatly for our obedience. I hope you enjoy this lesson! God bless, Rick
