Biden's "We're Fellow Americans And Not Enemies" Pivot Means They Hope You're Stupid

Posted • July 15, 2024: Yesterday, President Biden, after spending years turning up the political thermostat to about five hundred degrees, said it's time to "lower the temperature." Biden also said "battle box" instead of "ballot box"… twice: Biden: "In America, we resolve our differences at the battle box. That's how we do it. At the battle box." -- Then today the @POTUS account and whatever intern from the White House press office decided it was a good time to insult everybody's intelligence with this self-unaware doozy: President Biden @POTUS: “While we may disagree, we are not enemies. If the Biden White House always talked like that, great, but instead the "Trump is worse than Hitler" crowd finally delivered on their transparency promise, because everybody can see right through them: Katie Pavlich @KatiePavlich: “This shift in tone is a blatantly transparent and cynical effort by Biden to save his candidacy after Democrats started to revolt re: his disastrous debate performance. He's done nothing but demonize "MAGA extremists" for four years.” -- Gabriella Hoffman @Gabby_Hoffman: “Talk about backpedaling, after years of actively demonizing political opponents as fascists and threats to democracy. Can’t memory hole your way out of this, Mr. President.” -- But they sure are trying! As usual, the Team Biden strategy for dealing with this is to hope everybody's stupid and has incredibly short memories.
