After taking so much time to talk with Britz ABerman, he decides to betray us yet again, like a little punk, giving us the chance to beat him around again. However, now that we're "acquaintances", he ultimately leans towards not fighting for the Bermans and rejoins our crew, giving us the full power of the Taranis to unleash upon the Tarascus. We hold nothing back as we take on General Hax one last time, further proving he's a dumb for listening to the stupid A.I. that is Jeanne--who started this whole mess for selfish reasons! We've been given a mulligan to try and befriend one of the children that didn't get much attention, with this second attempt now fully intent on giving that specific child ALL the affinity. This resorts in a lot of stage settings, while also many barks and few cares as to what the other children think or do. With our tank fixed and upgraded for a World War, we finally got face to face with General Hax one last time. The dude has gone berserk and that only makes taking him down that much more fun, especially once morals get thrown out the canopy. I regret nothing with this session's coming actions, but I do feel slightly barren at the thought that I could've tried harder... As we inch closer to the main city where the biggest battle will commence, we're introduced to the new powers of our tank; Super Speed and Mega Claws. And yet none of those abilities come into play as we casually roll through the busted capital, learning that the Berman Army brought WAY too many guns and not enough bullets. With the loss of a puppy that was once a Berman, and learning that Human's once existed and we should learn from this (about not existing, I mean), we breech the city limits of Paresia to learn that the Taranis can actually speak formally. However, it's an A.I. Human, and that's all I needed to basically ignore them. I have upgrades to make before taking down the big bad. With a boss battle imminent, we head back into the shrines to dig out several items that aren't a mechanical rod, because it's all I want so the game won't give it to me. (figures...) However, that doesn't stop Hanna from being Hanna, and Kyle from being a dirty kitty that needs to be stopped, while Mei is just a 3 year old. Typical children behavior. Yet as we think our next boss will just be generic, it turns out to be someone who we didn't care to attend to since their known existence. (Sadly, not Wappa...) We continue cruisin' through the underground passage to learn that I still don't have necessary things for upgrades. That bothers me a lot, as I've a way to obtain such items, but am not guaranteed I'll find them... As such, we dispatch some Berman troops through use of my anger and slight depression, making sure they know I'm not playing around anymore. After absolutely smacking the dank off of General Hax's dumb face, and him running away laughing like a crazy-insane person, we have to continue on to chase him down and end this invasion. We prepare for the harsh trail ahead with children whining about wanting to do things that don't involving war stuff. Ignoring their needs, we have them speak to one another, only to learn that some won't open up and that scenes can be awkward when cats and dogs try to communicate. But as we finally try to move forward to find the adults, ONE stands in our way with somethings I never thought possible... ANOTHER BIGGEST TANK! We drag on with the whiny children that want things we don't have and/or I'm too lazy/demanding to give. Much of the tank, Taranis, requires batteries, because it's basically a cheap remote controlled toy that isn't power efficient, and scrap fishing finally becomes both useful and necessary. Yet all the annoying things are worth it, slightly, as we crush more of the Berman units with the power of getthefrickoutofhere! Freed from the tyranny of overly hyped and murderous foods, we take the children on adventure to gain more batteries, unaware of the harsh lesson that R.N.G. really sucks. We eventually make it through the jingle-jangles to find that there's big tank waiting for us, along with medium tank and small tank (how adorable). Time to blow them the *bark* up! We seem to be getting closer to the answer we seek in these children travels, looking for the adults and wondering who might be talking to us through the radio. Just before reaching the front lines, we are intercepted by red rover dover that wants us to fork over... ourselves. She is Flimmy Flammy, daughter of General Jelly Filled Pretzel, and she got a GUN! After forgetting all that I've learned just from skipping a week, I come back to find I've no idea what I'm doing--all I know is to obliterate something called a Berman. However, I do remember that the jingle-jangles are much copyright annoying, so of course we get a bunch of them as we slap the enemy units around before learning once more that Kyle is just a simple douche. It'll only be a matter of time until we managed to get our upgrades so high that even 3 year olds will solo against the Berman army. Tensions rise against Britz ABerman yet again with something about him being seen not once, but TWICE, inside and outside the Taranis. However, we push forward into volcanic lands to have cats get annoyed and also annoy myself, with one actually doing something that triggers me to no end. With another push through the enemy lines, we come across a trademarked, copyrighted and definitely not sponsored set of Nintendo consoles. They don't seem like much, as per usual, but then suddenly they multiply into being a big pain. Soon after, much story happens and we learn that the Taranis really doesn't want to be a tank anymore. Pushing the Berman army back, we still have no real leads on where our parents are or what's happened to them. However, I don't really care, as I just want more cannons and thus more destruction! The children do weird things, as per usual, before letting us take on big tanks and bigGER tanks, which don't amount to much against my tank--the BIGGEST tank! Also, Socks say/does something weird... We finally leave upside-down dog territory to hear about the children crying over meaningless dribble. All that matters is cannon upgrades, so we push on to learn that Britz ABerman is sus, and that the Bermans are try-harding to get in our way now, knowing we're going to steamroll them in the end. With only one more fight to go in the chapter, we gear up by first pressing the depressed back to normal, then attempt at getting a few upgrades for our cannons. Boron wishes to sleep, but that's for babies and Boron's a big kid--so he can shut it! That said... I think I was too harsh, as the fight we're gifted is beyond anything I wanted to comprehend, making me wish I had actually stayed in bed myself... After acquiring a new "ally", we continue to push through upside down dog territory, where the Bermans use golden BayBlades to try and stop us. Unfortunately, those types aren't what's really a problem... Their vacuum cleaners ARE! They recycled so much air that it became toxic--like Twitter--and caused depression--like Facebook! Continuing through Upsidedownland, we fight many more color variant tanks that clearly don't understand what "stealth" / CAMOUFLAGE means in terms of war, so we blow them up with our flashy looking cannons and demand that they never come back. Of course, they don't listen. Yet amidst all the destruction, we manage to find someone that calls themselves Britz ABerman (you know what you did, game devs)! Children have needs and I've no time to bother caring... That said, the game decides to punish my carelessness with one very annoying and very damaging fight that isn't even really a BOSS battle. I'm gonna need to upgrade badly if I'm to continue bringing down this Doberman Pinscher army that likes stealing Adults, but not Children. We simply push forward to find our parents, yet having to take on more Berman military soldiers that wanted to stop us for no exact clear reason. However, that won't keep them safe, and neither will it myself with how my brain likes to work. This session mostly just handles juggling in Taranis tasks and fighting the bad guys, so not much storytelling occurs. Trailing into Chapter 6, we get enough scavenged treasure to upgrade our big boy/girl blasters to make the Berman army personnel vanish. Yet along the way we're met with a self-absorbed and much annoying new kid, with no reason to be other than to start conflict. With more children comes more rage, and more rage means we must blow up EVERYTHING! That said... We must figure who gets to do laundry and cook, while also farming. Nothing says "Anger" like eating foot-food. Yet as we trek on, we find that the Bermans really like painting their tanks, and one in particular proves to be the flashiest of them all, owned and stepped on by mammy--sorry--Dober-woman. Venturing into Chapter 5, we have our sla--I mean soldier count grow by one again. we gather more comic books stuff and trade our useless ammo for more useless ammo, then take on the Bermans, who now have adopted GREEN to protect themselves! We trek onward to find the camp in question holding some Felinkos (cat people) hostage. Why this is, I've no clue... UNTIL we meet the big baddy of the area. Strolling into Chapter 4, we have many in tank tasks to decide between before we continue down the longest path I've taken yet. Along the way, we see more Bermans (as expected) and we give them new piercings and hardcore tans for trying to hit on a child. We return to the Taranis to farm some Chakkenz and Shap, where Mei wishes to become more adult by learning how to write. Malt is a terrible teacher, and Hanna just pretends to be a big sister, which is a little weird in retrospect. After we get Kyle to stop being lazy, only for him to get his paws stabbed by spike traps, we trek on to a boss battle, where two old-timers await for us to finally end their suffering. We continue onward to find our missing parents and wondering why ONLY the adults were taken, all the while blowing up other tanks that don't know how to tank very well. Laughable. Gaining ground on the Berman army to find our parents, we somehow pick up some new kids along the way and tell them to stop stealing. Rolling through the land in our massive, metal reinforced, autopilot car, the children and I (might need to think of a better way to announce that) finish with traveling to a new town, but before getting to take in the scenery we have to tackle a new boss.
