MZTV 1516: RAW AND UNFILTERED. I Hate This Video.

I just decided to let this video run. I kicked out the editor and let it run.

This is the final installment (thank God) of my exposure and rebuke of Johnny Greene’s lame and unscriptural attempt to scare you into abandoning the truth of your justification.

Johnny Greene is an unwitting liar, but a liar nonetheless. (I hate saying this, but it’s the truth.) Mr Greene HAS to know he is mangling Scripture in his quest to damn you. I can see it in his face. Whenever he adds words and concepts to the first chapter of Romans, his voice trails off, he looks down, and he bites his lower lip. This is the tell. He deep down knows that what he’s doing is illicit. Yet he feels he must do it because there is “a great call on social media today” to “warn people about the times we are living in” (Johnny has no idea what times we are living in) and to thunder from Mt. Sinai about repenting of your sin before it’s too late. “But Paul says it probably already too late” says this self-styled prophet as his voice trails off, as he looks down, and as he bites his lower lip.

But Paul says nothing of the kind.

Maybe I go overboard against this man’s condemnation. But maybe not. It probably deserves even more than I give it here. I think more editing needs done, but I refuse to do it. That’s why I hate this video. I really should be more in control and more presentable. More respectable. I should have cut this to make it less raw. But I decided to let it go. That’s why it’s so long. It got away from me. But I want you to see Johnny’s raw emotion come up against mine.

I guess.

I am happy to be done with this, and I’m sure you are too. But I can’t deny that it has been profitable in establishing us in our call and heightening or defenses against the lies of Satan as carried out by Old Testament prophet-types like Johnny Greene.

This is just who I am and how I feel. If you decide you don’t want to watch this, it would be okay with me. I do’t want to watch it either. This man Johnny Greene and his message are both cursed by God. So why am I feeling bad? Maybe I’ve added too much color to it? Shoved too much of it in his face and in yours?

But maybe not.

I am what I am by the grace of God. If it weren’t for the grace of God, I would be Johnny Greene, and so would you. This man’s “road to Damascus experience” yet awaits him. We have already experienced ours, for God has assured us of His power and His accomplishments. Consistent with that, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we have no confidence in flesh. Mr. Greene’s flesh is flying all over the screen here. Perhaps mine is too. But at least I have no confidence in it.
