This week, we at The Wellness Way started our Power of Protein Challenge. If you joined us, you may have noticed a couple of changes in your body: Changes in bowel movements, cravings, and weight are common and normal with such a notable dietary change. Why? How eating more protein may reduce sugar intake: When you boost your protein intake so drastically, you get full faster. When that happens, that last brownie starts to not look *quite* as good, because your body is already satisfied - and with food that has far more nutrients!
Malabsorption: This may be the biggest obstacle for most people. Certain health conditions - and even just mental stress - can reduce stomach acid, making it harder for the body to digest the food it's given.
