"There's more that's needed, not just to incentivize new technologies but to stop making it profitable to continue to undertake unsustainable activity and that will require government action and ambition, a whole range of other ways subsidies, taxes, penalties...can we get more effective government action around nature that we had the Green Deal in Europe. It had nature pillar that had to be watered down because not enough work had been done to really look at how we can reconcile the need to produce food with the need to protect nature and so it was a polarized debate so some of the points about benefits to society..."
