Russia broadens tactical nuclear weapons drills

The military department added that the personnel of the crews of ships of the Russian Navy participating in the exercises will equip sea-based cruise missiles with special training warheads and enter the designated patrol areas.

The first stage of the drills of the Russian Armed Forces with non-strategic nuclear weapons has begun. The drills are being conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces. The exercise is conducted by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
