Gaza Under Attack: Rafah On Fire

504

The world watches on as tents packed with refugees are set ablaze by the Israeli occupation forces.

Rafah is witnessing a tragedy being played out across multiple acts. Israeli strikes are killing Palestinians in camps across southern Gaza, including 21 souls taken in Al Mawasi. In previous strikes that have led to high civilian casualties, the Israelis claim they were 'tragic mistakes' and said there will be an investigation, but nobody believes this will go anywhere. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says he's 'heartbroken' by the images of those killed and injured, including small children, and calls for the horror and suffering in Gaza to be brought to an immediate halt. If past Israeli behavior is anything to go by, that will be some time in coming.

Despite the outrage, the international condemnation, and a social media campaign to raise awareness on Rafah- racking up tens of millions of support, the regime backers, including the United States, have raised the claim. Tel Aviv has not crossed its so-called red lines. Public anger is spreading from London to Lisbon, an emergency demo in the British capital, slamming the prime minister for the country's complicity in arming apartheid Israel.
