Taxpayers will spend $500K to settle brutality lawsuit

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office found one of its corrections officers could be charged with a crime for his violent treatment of an inmate, but Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters declined to press charges. Instead the officer settled with the victim for $500,000 on taxpayers' dime.
