What happens when we start out with a dream and end up with something unexpected?

Genesis 28: Jacob, the son of Issac, has a dream of the ladder with angels ascending and descending and received this word from God “I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father and the God of Issac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it and to thy seed. …and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed. And, behold I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places wither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land: for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.”

Genesis 29: Jacob meets the beautiful Rachel, Leban’s daughter, and falls in love with her. He pledges to work 7 years for her hand and completes the assignment. Leban tricks Jacob and gives him Leah, the older sister, at the wedding. Jacob wakes up to the wrong woman and is upset. Laban ultimately negotiates another 7 years of work from Jacob to finally receive Rachel in marriage. During this time Leah bears 4 sons:

Simeon: to see
Reuben: to hear
Levi: to be joined
Judah: tribe that Jesus came from

Jacob ultimately marries Rachel who is not able to conceive.

Out of adversity God provided the blessing.
