Apply keto diet principles, depending on amount of carb
restriction you have, you can get into LMHR issues...
[Lean Mass Hyper Responder: lean, healthy, with:
-high HDL; low TG; high or extremely high LDL]
Study:
if in this condition due to depleting
glucose stores and glycogen in liver,
you are lean, LDL has gone up
If add back in carbs to diet,
-will high LDL be reversed?

If carb refeeding does get drop in LDL, what type of carb
do you have? would they have to be healthy carbs?
Trial: Oreo Cookies as carbs
Trial: is a carb a carb?
If introduce Oreos into system that is "awry" due to having
to transport lots of fat to burn energy

"Let's go on keto diet, stable baseline...all normal except
LDL is very high [above 350]"
-add: 100g / day carbs as Oreo cookies
-check affect on LDL
Then, stop; wash out, get back to baseline in all areas
-now: high-intensity statin therapy
-continue over time, checking LDL
periodically
All this on one person as case study

Results: just as Dave had shown that carb reintroduction in
LMHR phenotype will rapidly reduce LDL...
-case carb reintro: 14 days into trial: 71% reduction of LDL
-case statin therapy: [expected response 40%]
-this case study: Statin therapy: LDL down 30%
Conclusion:
-statins reduce LDL, but less than
with carb reintroduction
[carbs effect 2X in just 14 days]
-why only 30% from statin?
