As predicted, my recording settings weren't all that great having to share-play via my computer. The game audio got tinny and my voice got toned down for a few parts... And some bits of the footage got corrupted. Sad, but it didn't ruin anything important, like dialog or even gameplay itself. It all comes down to this... A massive boss rush with the five demon generals before taking on the biggest and baddest demon within all of the Ark of Yamato. After many hours of grinding behind the scenes, we come to the penultimate portion of the story; The Ark of Yamato. Supposedly the place where it all began, even though I've no memory of ever starting in a frozen waste of space place. Once I'm done rambling, we head up the rainbow bridge to be talked down to by a flea, then Man's gift to God--as a sacrifice--appears and I almost get poked by a needle. We begin our first double battle with ourselves, strangely enough, and young me absolutely takes the spotlight over current me! :o She's faster, more talented, prettier, and just has SWAG for DAYS. Of course, halfway through the first of fights, Oki jumps in with his furryness and ruins it all... Typical. After finally getting him to realize he's a dumb, Oki's sword glows Cyan (not silver) and we proceed to hunt down and finish the fight between the twin demons on the mountain tops. Once we dealt with Orochi again in the past, we take Lika back to Kamui as it is time for the eclipse to happen as a heavier blizzard begins to blast down from the mountains. We hurry there, even with enemies messing with us, where we learn Oki is still a big baby and he's only thinking of himself, regardless of those around saying otherwise. After reaching the end of the forest, we decide to talk a lot at a closed doorway, then eventually open it to talk a lot more before a furry shows up to ruin everything (figures). With that, we have to leap through what appears to be a portal to Kamiki Village, only to discover it's not just a portal to said village, but also a warp to back before I got hurted. Now I have to just not mess with things--like knocking a dude out or causing rocks to fall--to preserve the past. We've just been given the okay to roam Kamui village and speak with some of the residents, but I just wanted to rush off and find that hidden forest. However, we need a spell breaker amulet to disengage the seal hiding the forest, which requires us to find someone that can make said spell breaking amulet... RATHER THAN JUST FOLLOWING Kai, WHO COULD REMOVE THE BARRIER HERSELF WITH EASE! Regardless, we chase the pretty pup around a bit and nearly get crushed by a ball. After some minor exploring, we make our way to Kamui Village, where we're told by the village chief, Samickle, that we're not welcome. He does so by showing us HIS super wolf transformation, which somehow scares us into leaving, where upon nearly exiting the village we encounter another super wolf, much prettier than the other wolves, but she has this annoying itch to not continue the conversation... We're told to head north because of a storm that's coming from the mountains of Ezofuji. I have no idea how one storm can be so big for a country wide disaster, but that just how it is apparently. We're greeted with "new" enemies and even a new sword wielder named Oki, who can go Super Wolf and has way too much health. Going through part 2 of Oni Island's mysteries, we fight through the upper levels to race the Toilet Paper one last time, then send him off with an overly dramatic farewell before hunting down the true source of evil; Ninetails. The demon fox pretends to be a constellation, for whatever reason, and then they try to stab us a lot and that's unacceptable, because flaming donut is all powerful. And it lives up to that, because I didn't think fire, of all elements, would actually work on the evil furry. We finally arrive at Oni Island to deal with the Evil Furry, known as Ninetails. Being part one of this dungeon, we have to explore the castle/palace to reach the hideout of the ruling evil high above. We run through multiple levels, starting on floor 1, and working our way up through a series of races against toilet paper. I also prove that I have had all of my powers from the beginning all along, despite plot convenience telling me otherwise, by using said powers to retrieve said powers I didn't have before--coincidentally enough. After receiving a vision of Jiggle Physics being attacked, we hurry to her aid. We find a hidden tunnel leading back into Queen Himiko's palace, where a furry shows up and battles us, then complains about size and runs away crying--as do many furries! (That's a joke, and I am one, so don't get upset). We must get to following that fluffle-butt back to their hideout to slap them more! After getting a few extra skills, we go about blurring a few people before heading back into the Water Dragon's belly. I still question how or why a wolf has the ability to breathe underwater, and I will not accept the idea that "It's because Okami's a deity". It's still silly and no one else questions it either. Regardless, we have to deal with persuasive evil vixens and finally obtain the Fox Rods, which in comes Jiggle Physics to make Okami get perked up. We come to the Dragonian Place to speak with Queen Otohime, who REALLY PISSES ME OFF that she can't just keep talking and forced ME to re-initiate the conversation! We make our way to Ryoshima Coast, only to be talked down to by a monk, then eaten multiple times by a sea serpent. A cat is crying somewhere, but who cares, because we're wolves. It takes me a minute to realize I need food, and then some blubbery kid thinks too highly of himself and gets a smacking from a dolphin. Many insane things this round. And here I thought things couldn't get more annoying... Then Queen Himiko stepped in. We first handle the conclusion of Bamboo Girl to get ourselves a "decent" item, then trek back to the main city to confront the Queen herself. There, she never continues her talking/conversations, and tells us repeatedly about some kind of island that is home for evil. Regardless, she's a B****. We continue being small and use our new ability to get further into the guarded palace, stealing more treasure along the way. We eventually get up high to leap into the sleeping emperor's mouth, where we act as white blood cells to remove the foreign bacteria inside the dude, which is being generated by a toothpick. After getting SHCRUNK... (okay, bad joke) we have to get our Arachnophobia triggered as we try to help a crying child and stepping on men's toes. We tackle the Sunken Ship with it's "spooky" atmosphere, with jiggle physics going along for the ride on my back. We find treasure, crabs, treasure, a shark, more treasure, San Francisco, even MORE treasure, and a water monster (not unlike the shark). We eventually find something, but not exactly what we wanted or were expecting, then Issun gets inappropriate about peeing in the ocean... Gross. After some off-camera grinding for future purchases, we head through Sei-An City, capital of Nippon, to find a strange mist bellowing from deep within the city's limits. We attempted to speak with the Queen, only to find a monk with no relations to the queen or her royal guards blocks the path to the palace (because plot convenience). We fumble on finding out that we need to return to the beginning of the game, where an old school TV show hero appears as a blinding arrow that nearly kills two people--but not really because it had to arch upwards anyways to hit the real target. During the commotion, we learn that the special brew of sake was drank by none other than Susano, and he didn't even try to share... Diving into the Gale Shine, we find that there's an elevator and stuff underneath it. Strange. We return to Kamiki Village to find the final Satomi Canine Warrior known as Chu, formally known as Hayabusa. He tells us of his past and then demands we fight fist to fist... even though we have paws. He also speaks nonsense about an arrow before we just take the power orb and head back to Kusa Village. After dealing with the Birb boss of the mafia running the illegal scandal of the hot spring in Sasa Sanctuary (and also fighting a husky), we try to find out what's going on back in Agata Forest. Some kid is missing a dog--no one cares--and a strange lady is up near a spring that apparently gives divine powers, yet no one else attempts to steal the water for their own purpose. Once get got back the father's flying daughter to Sasa Sanctuary, we were given access to the hot spring, where we learn of a chicken trying to become a nugget. After a few failed attempts, the old bamboo dude, who's hinting he's not a dude, shows up and talks about water being a mineral (WHICH IS A COMPLETE LIE)! Regardless, we fight a husky. After "rescuing" the princess priestess in the vaguely indistinguishable castle, we're asked to find Warrior's of the Canine variety that resemble the Satomi household. Emphasis on CANINE! After some extensive off-camera grinding, we got ourselves the Lucky Cat Statue and a Calming Bell, allowing us to get drops easier and also thwart the nasty scrolls. We take on the second half of the Tsuta Ruins temple to gain yet another ability. We find several save points, for some strange reason--like there's supposed to be a boss fight happening soon--and get instructed about learning San Francisco. After getting the Master Sword and being told to help an old childhood friend, we eventually get our paws on the hook shot and make our way into the Forest Temple... (Wait, you're telling me that's the wrong game?! FRICK!) I mean, we enter the Tsuta Ruins to find a doggo trapped inside, sense kids aren't allowed, and the grape juice is poisoned. Once we had cleansed the fields and stopped making the brown water brown, we're told to so side quests... We wander around trying to find the guy that is making the disgusting brown water that's causing the trees in the area to smell, along with making the grass conjure Darkness. Somehow Issun finds factual evidence in a painting (which ANYONE could have drawn and lied about) and then we take on the most vile boss in the game... a BEAR! After finally ending the tutorial section of the game, we head out to deal with the villager's problems, which is BENEATH ME, as I--AMATERASU--am a goddess and shouldn't have to help anyone. However, the flee-bite tells us to do so, because story progression and game play mechanics. As we do, we see a guy with a stick slice a 20 ton boulder with said stick. Neat! I love the art style and concept of this game, even though it does act a little too much like another game I mention in the video. However, because of my love for THAT game, THIS game shines brighter. We'll go through a basic playthrough, starting from scratch, then maybe in the future got with a max build and boss rush everything. (semi-speed-run).
