Thoroughly understanding proper plumbing drainage & venting rules creates FLEXIBILITY!

Every plumber knows how to rough-in and install the typical 3-fixture bathroom group, consisting of a toilet, lavatory and sink or bathtub. Almost always, the de facto solution would be to wet vent them together!

But what happens when you throw a FOURTH fixture into the mix...in this case a 2-inch floor drain serving a sauna room?

This is the situation a recent viewer posed to me with respect to plumbing work in house they were renovating...which led down to a whole rabbit hole of Basic Plumbing 101 goodness respective to drain waste and venting plumbing systems!
