In what must be the most surreal testimony of recent days at the Post Office Inquiry, former Post Office Investigator Raymond Grant tells the inquiry he's been TOO BUSY for the Post Office Inquiry and the witness statements and has only produced one and appeared under LEGAL threat! A tale of woe follows that will leave many, not least affected subpostmasters, distinctly unimpressed I think. We analyse his surreal testimony including bizarre references to walking his dog. Raymond Grant, former Post Office Investigator tells the inquiry he REFUSES to accept a subpostmasters OVERTURNED Conviction and still regards him as guilty of the embezzlement charge that he brought against him as a principle investigator in the Paible Post Office prosecution case - one of many private prosecutions launched by the Post Office during the Post Office Scandal. Whilst trying to evade the question, he finally shares his view that the conviction should have not been overturned and he still regards William Quarm as guilty. We look at analyse the formal training that Post Office Investigators went through during the evidence to the Post Office Inquiry. Little physical evidence seems to have been presented so this is reliant on witness statements and has therefore rightfully become a focus. It is under no doubt that at least some Post Office Investigators had experience of running investigations but was this underpinned by a robust process, qualifications and training?
