20240304 Day 694 Part-2
-
Pulling
-
Starting of today’s pulling I begin as always with heavy Hammer Strength ISO-Rows. There are many ways you can work your fatigue management. You can lessen the load but if the load stimulus is key to your desired training effect, you can attenuate fatigue by reducing volume. I drop from the 10+ rep range to the 5-7 rep range and essentially cut the total volume contribution of this movement by half. Now I have a bit of “room” in my training to add in an additional row for some variation.
-
Next, it’s been several weeks since I’ve hit another staple, the chest-supported row. Unlike the ISO-Row, I reduce the load significantly and instead of pulling explosively, I work this with more of a hypertrophy bias to build up my midback along the T-spine. The combined stimulus of the Hammer Strength and the chest-supported rows destroys my back for days with minimal axial fatigue.
-
Last, i show the lats some direct love with wide-grip pulldowns. At this point, I’m just about done so I drop the pin a bit and do my last sets in the 10-ish rep range.
-
And that’s a great point to shut it down to eat.
