Electric Sheep Robotics (ESR), the company pioneering a large-scale outdoor maintenance enterprise driven by artificial intelligence and robotics, has introduced a new robot named Verdie for outdoor maintenance, utilizing its proprietary AI and robotics software.

Verdie, like other ESR robots, is powered by Electric Sheep’s AI agent, ES1. ES1, leveraging recent advancements in GenAI, is a learned world model enabling reasoning and planning for both the RAM robot designed for mowing and the Verdie robot tailored for edging, trimming lawns and bushes, and blowing leaves.

In executing these tasks, ES1 comprehends the semantics of the environment, generates a map for coverage planning, and identifies the edges of the workable area, whether for trimming, edging, or mowing grass.

ES1 accomplishes this through dense prediction of a world state with a single model, akin to ChatGPT for language but applied to spatial AI, Total Landscape Care reported.
