My friend and I are practicing RE5 Mercenaries once again in hopes to get back to our once great skill at getting high scores. Here, I show a neat melee followed by two key principles in getting high scores in RE5 mercenaries, the fast reload and getting melee kills for 5 second time bonuses. In RE5 you can reload during any action animation, you can reload while climbing ladders, opening doors, performing melee attacks, or even reloading another gun. To reload your left slot inventory weapon during an action press Triangle, Up, Left, Square, Down, Square, Triangle in quick succession. This will open the menu highlight ammo, use the combine command, highlight the weapon, execute combination, then exit your menu. Doing this is actually a lot faster than doing a regular reload animation and can be done simultaneously with other animations. Another thing you want to keep in practice is to frequently knock enemies over and melee attack them for a 5 second time bonus for each melee kill.
