On March 9th, 2022, officers were dispatched in reference to a standby requested by El Paso Electric personnel. It was advised by the dispatch that while attempting to disconnect the electricity of a residence, the owner started threatening the personnel with a baseball bat. The body cam got detached and fell on the ground, but we can hear the officer asking her to put her hands behind her back and then deploying tasers at her. Although the officer deployed two tasers on the woman, they were ineffective, and she was able to flee the scene. The police were now going to hunt her down. Just when the other officer was climbing the wall, the woman began running and broke into a nearby house. She had also changed her clothes, but it wasn’t enough to evade what was about to come. At this point, there were two police teams tracking her down. One team was going to enter the property from behind, and the other was going in from the front. Meanwhile, another team of officers took a statement from the victims. The officers took out their service weapons to get her out of the house. It was at this moment that she attempted to escape through the back door, while the owner of the house emerged from the front door. From this point on, her situation was only going to worsen. The woman showed no signs of surrendering to the police, so additional forces were being brought in to extract her from the house. The officers planned to warn her a couple more times before resorting to a more lethal approach. As soon as the officers were about to breach through the front door, the lady came out, but things had already worsened for her. Even after being arrested, the woman continued to argue with the cops and showed no signs of calming down. The old lady was under a lot of emotional stress and was about to break down. Since her condition was deteriorating, she called her son, and a fire department team was deployed to provide her with aid. The fire department arrived on the scene, gave the old woman a check-up, and soon, her son arrived. Meanwhile, a concerned neighbors approached the police with information about the woman. Here’s what she told them. One of the officers stayed with the old lady's son, helping him comfort his mother. They soon found the woman's phone, which she had left in their house. While the woman was about to be transported to the jail, she told one of the officers her side of the story. The female was charged with aggravated assault and resisting arrest.
