How to Make Delectable Mahlabi Dessert with Kadayif-4K
Recipe for Mahlabi Dessert with Kadayif:
Ingredients:
Kadayif noodles: 250 grams
Butter: 70 grams
Milk: 1 liter
Flour: 4 tablespoons
Cornstarch or wheat starch: 3 tablespoons
Crushed walnuts: 1 cup
Liquid oil: 3 tablespoons
Sugar: 200 grams
Vanilla: 1/2 teaspoon
Breakfast cream: 200 grams
Instructions:
Step One:
Begin by manually breaking the Kadayif noodles into small pieces. If the noodles are too moist, use scissors for this task. Then, place a pan on low heat to warm.
Step Two:
- In this step, melt 70 grams of butter in the pan until it becomes liquid. Add the Kadayif noodles and sauté them until fully browned, taking on a golden-brown coffee color.
Step Three:
- An essential point to consider when frying the Kadayif noodles is to consistently stir with a spoon to ensure even browning without burning.
Step Four:
Pour half of the Kadayif noodles into a serving dish, which can be a simple Pyrex dish. Flatten the surface with the back of a spoon and let it cool completely to prepare for the Mahlabi mixture.
Step Five:
In a pot placed on low heat, mix flour and cornstarch with milk and sugar. Stir continuously until it thickens. A manual whisk can be used for this process.
Step Six:
At this stage, add breakfast cream and vanilla to the mixture over heat and continue stirring until the cream and butter fully dissolve, resulting in a consistent liquid.
Step Seven:
Quickly pour the prepared cream over the Kadayif noodles and smooth the surface with a spatula. Pour the remaining Kadayif noodles on top, covering the entire surface.
Step Eight:
Place the delectable Mahlabi dessert in the refrigerator for 5 to 6 hours. Once set, remove it, slice it, and decorate with strawberries or any desired toppings before serving.
