1. Genesis 11 provides the details of how all false religions spread from Babylon throughout the world. Upon seeing the wickedness of man, the Lord God came down from heaven to put an end to their unified rebellion and treachery. How did God do this? By giving multiple languages and designating where each people group will live.

It wasn't the Lord's intent to end false religion, that will come in the future. He confused the languages out of mercy to keep from having to kill everyone. God knew that by confusing the languages it would make some curious to seek how this happened and eventually hear His voice.
