Is the Roman Catholic Church teaching false doctrines that go against God's Word? In this video, we put some of Catholicism's core beliefs up to the light of Scripture to see if they align with what the Bible actually says. We'll look at Catholic doctrines like praying to Mary and the saints, the office of the Pope, the existence of purgatory, and the concept of transubstantiation.

While Catholics have good intentions and a sincere desire to follow Jesus Christ, some of their central teachings directly contradict what the Word of God says when examined closely. Our authority as Christians comes from the Bible alone - not church tradition - so that must be our ultimate standard of truth. This is an important issue because we want to make sure our beliefs line up with what God has actually revealed in His Word!

I don't intend to attack individual Catholics in this video; I just want to challenge all of us to think critically about some Catholic doctrines and see if they can be backed up by Scripture or not. We should have an open mind and be willing to change our thinking if God's Word shows us otherwise. My hope is that this teaching will lead to thoughtful discussion and help us unite more closely around biblical truth.
