Unmasking Labor's Injustice: The Hidden Toll on Aussie Families in Family Law Courts

The financial and emotional toll on Aussies unlucky enough to be forced to navigate the family law courts often leaves them incapable of pursuing further action.

Unfortunately, the Albanese Labor Government seemingly protects judges at the expense of those who feel unjustly treated. The argument that judges might fear rendering decisions without immunity ignores the need for accountability in a system affecting countless families.

The recent Family Law Amendment Bill by the Labor government, which I opposed, raises similar concerns about accountability. The call for immunity for judges appears to prioritize the judiciary over the rights of individuals.

Labor continues to make changes to this system without properly considering the serious harm they are doing to children and Australian families. The potential impact on families and the denial of recourse for those seeking justice should be properly investigated before such legislation is enacted.

I will not support rushing this through without addressing these crucial concerns.
