Warmoth custom build demo

My pal Brian ordered a body and neck from Warmoth in the US and wanted a build with a Telecaster arrangement but with a Firebird pickup in the neck position.
Initially he had them make a body with 2 volumes and a tone but decided that the Gibson approach was better so added the offset volume for the bridge.
The pickups are a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Firebird pickup in the neck and a Creamery Broadcaster pickup in the bridge with Gotoh saddles and gold hardware.

The body veneer and the neck are just exceptional and the guitar is very light indeed. It has a large V shaped neck and it feels really nice to play. The dot markers are a pain to see in low light though!

I have borrowed this and an original 1959 Les Paul Junior from him for a few weeks so I am taking the opportunity to do a quick demo using my Lazy J 20 amplifier with Toneking Ironman II attenuator.
You can see the settings in the video.

I am just noodling about with the 2 pickups and adjusting the balance between them which offers a lot of flexibility.

It's a nice resonant and zingy sound and the Firebird pickup complements the Creamery Broadcaster pickup very well. He wanted a certain hollowness and brightness to the neck position and a Firebird pickup is a good candidate.
