Guitar Demo 2020 PRS McCarty 10 top in Yellow Tiger

The McCarty model was Paul Reed Smith's homage to Ted McCarty who was an inspiration to him and one of the founding fathers of Gibson and electric guitar in general.
This model features a wraparound bridge, initially a fixed relative intonation between strings with offset available via 2 grub screws on each post to align top and low E string and later on featuring the individually intonatable bridge as seen here.
Also featured is the simple control scheme of single volume and tone, the latter with a coil tap or split and you can laugh at me as I grapple with this in the video. My other McCarty has a push/push switch fitted, so I'm not used to the push/pull type and it's quite new and not effortless to pull out.

This guitar is a 2020 model but features an upgraded hardware pack including the aforementioned bridge and Phase III locking tuners and a stunning 10 top in Yellow Tiger finish. It also has a bound neck and pattern neck which differs from the wide thick neck on previous models in that it is much more Gibson like but with a subtle V shape. Thin a Gibson re-issue '59 neck but slightly V shaped and you won't be far off.

I tried all sorts of PRS with the tremolo system but I just keep on putting them out of tune as I rest the heel of my hand right on the bridge mostly. A failure of technique I would think...

I really like this guitar - it sounds fuller and deeper than the more snappy 1999 one.
